Within ten minutes of the Nation’s Capitol lies the neighborhood of Tara Leeway Heights. Set among hundred-year old trees, and amid rolling hills rich in Civil War history, this quiet neighborhood is much like its developers envisioned when it was initially carved out of farmland in 1936. It is an area that is not only convenient to Washington, D.C, but provides its residents schools and shops within an easy walking distance to their homes. Here you find the beauty and charm of rural landscapes and a profound sense of community spirit and identity.

Our boundaries roughly follow the interior of a circle drawn from George Mason Drive and Washington Boulevard west to N. Jefferson, then north to N. 16th Street; follow this onto Lexington Street to N. 22nd Street, turn right and go east to George Mason Drive.
