Local Crime Report – August 10, 2011

From the latest Crime Report:

• BANK ROBBERY, 08/04/11, 5500 block Lee Highway. On August 4 at 2:15 pm, an unknown man entered a bank. He announced a robbery and demanded money. The suspect then fled with cash. He is described as a white male with facial hair, in his late 50’s, 6’ tall with a medium build.  The suspect wore a light colored baseball cap, neon green shirt and light colored pants.  This man appears to be the same suspect who robbed three banks in Arlington this summer.
• BANK ROBBERY, 08/09/11, 5300 block of Lee Highway. On August 9 at 2:10 pm, an unknown man entered a bank. He implied a weapon and demanded money. The suspect then fled with cash. He is described as a white male around 50 years old, 5’9” tall with a thin build.  The suspect wore a light colored “driving” cap, a dark colored striped polo shirt and light colored pants.
• ROBBERY, 08/07/11, 1900 block of N. George Mason Drive. On August 7 at 1:15 am, a man was walking home from work when two unknown males approached him. The suspects assaulted him a brandished a knife. They stole cash and fled. Both suspects were teenage African American males. One was 6’2” with a skinny build wearing a black t-shirt and jeans. The other suspect was 5’8” with a thin build and wore a gray t-shirt and jeans.
