Civic Association Board Votes to Remove 1700 Block from Proposed Project Scope.

February 14th, 2009 Posted in News

In January 2009, a clipboard survey was sent to residents of the 1500 block and 1700, 1800, and 1900 blocks of N. Harrison Street to gauge interest in pursuing a proposed County Neighborhood Conservation streetscape improvement project on their blocks (the 1500, 1700, 1800, and 1900 blocks). The 1600 block was not included in the proposed project scope and thus did not receive the clipboard survey.

The results of the clipboard survey have identified a significant lack of support to pursue a proposed project on the 1700 block.

Consequently, the Tara Leeway Heights Civic Association Board has voted to remove the 1700 block from the proposed project scope.

This memorandum serves to provide you advance notice of this Civic Association Board decision. Additional information will be shared and discussed at the Civic Association meeting to be held on Monday, 2/23/09 at 7:30 at the Lee Community Center, Room 201 (corner of Lee Highway and Lexington Street).

Specific topics to be addressed at the Civic Association meeting include the general process for Neighborhood Conservation projects, the results of the clipboard survey, and the status of all Tara Leeway Heights County Neighborhood Conservation projects currently being considered.
