A Special “Meet Me on a Sunday… at Potomac Overlook Park!” on October 19th. Join us for this Free Outdoor Event.  Stop by the Nature Center at Potoamac Overlook Park between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. on October 19th to enjoy:

*  Live snakes, hawks and owls

*  A Juggler

*  Juggling lessons and outdoor games

*  Face painting

*  Pumpkin-carving party

*  Hands-on nature exhibits

*  Carptentry adn woodcraft exhibit

*  Live music provided by Native American-style flutist

*  Hammocks & places to picnic

*  Free cider and Heidelberg bakery cookies!

This colorful weekend event is part of the park’s ongoing weekly offering, Meet Me on a Sunday, which provides weekly hands-on nature exhibits, live animals, refreshments and outdoor games for kids and adults, just outside the Nature Center.

This event is intended to encourage people to spend time in the great  outdoors, connect with friends, family and learn about local natural history!   There’s always something for families, groups, scouts, friends, couples, and seniors – in short, everyone!  So, join us for games and exhibits, grab a beverage before a hike or lounge in our hammocks with a book and spend the entire afternoon.
