Local Crime Report

The Arlington County Police Department periodically sends out a blotter detailing recent criminal activity in the county.  The following are events occurring within Tara-Leeway Heights, from the most recent update (sent June 26, 2008):

SEXUAL BATTERY-ARREST 06/22/08, 2300 block of N. Lexington Street. On June 22 at 2:30 pm, a 16 year old girl was running on the street when a male grabbed her buttocks as she ran past him. He chased after her and she ran to a house for help. Police located the suspect and he was positively identified. Coruus Heller, 20, of Arlington, was charged with Sexual Battery and held without bond.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY 06/19/08, 5500 block of N. 19th Street. Between 2 pm and 9 pm on June 19, an unknown subject attempted to forcibly enter a residence. There is no suspect description.
