30th Annual Senior Law Day

The 30th annual Senior Law Day in Arlington will be held Tues., May 1. It kicks-off Older Americans Month and a series of events throughout the month at County senior centers. Senior Law Day will begin at 9:15 a.m. with registration and introductions of speakers and workshop leaders, followed by a panel discussion on legal issues affecting seniors. The event will be held at the Dept. of Human Services, 3033 Wilson Blvd. and will conclude at 12:45 p.m.

There is no admission charge. The session will feature a wide array of legal, financial and practical information to keep seniors informed and safe. Workshop topics will include Medicare Updates, Wills, Trusts and Estates, Grand Driver Program, How to Avoid Scams and an Ask A Lawyer session. The Sheriff’s Department will prepare free photo ID’s and the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney will offer free emergency cell phones.
