Step It Up Rally – Creating a Climate for Change

This nationwide day of action is a call for local solutions to global warming. People from all walks of life will gather in Arlington’s Gateway Park to ask government officials to “Step It Up” and cut carbon dioxide emissions 2% per year for the next 40 years – a total of 80% reductions by 2050. Festivities to include music mixed by Patchwerk, juggling, and free compact fluorescent light bulbs. Location – Gateway Park, Arlington, Virginia. Rally participants are encouraged to bike, walk, or take Metro. Gateway Park is less than ½ mile from the Rosslyn Metro Station on the Orange Line, at the intersection of Lee Highway and Fort Myer Drive, next to the Custis Bike Trail.
