2007 Tree Give Away

Arlington County’s Department of Parks Recreation and Cultural Resources,
Parks and Natural Resources Division is offering 1000 trees to be distributed
among Arlington’s civic associations and other community groups for Neighborhood
Day, May 12, 2007.

As in previous years, Arlington is offering two types of tree
species: the American Fringe Tree (Chionanthus virginicus), a small
flowering tree and Black Gum (Nyssa sylvatica), a medium to large
shade tree. Their height should range
between three and four feet and will come in one gallon containers. Instructions for planting and general care
and maintenance procedures will be provided with each tree.

If interested in placing an order, please email Bridget Collins (bhartc@aol.com) no later than noon this Friday,
April 6th. Trees will be delivered and available for pick up at 1444 N.
Inglewood Street (house of Bridget Collins) by the weekend of May 12th. You
will receive by email confirmation of your order as well as pick up date and
times in the beginning of May.
