Arlington Police release computer sketch of suspect
Man has approached several juveniles and displayed pornography
ARLINGTON, Va. – Detectives with the Arlington County Police
Department’s Special Victims Unit today released a computer sketch of a
suspect in a series of suspicious incidents. On at least eight
occasions since November 21 a man carrying a laptop computer has
approached females on the street in North Arlington and shown them
pornographic movies on the computer screen. Detectives are
communicating with police in Fairfax County where similar incidents have
been reported in the past.
Several of the victims are high school students and as a precaution
parents are asked to remind their children to walk in pairs or groups
and to stay in well lit areas. Also, anyone who comes in contact with
the suspect should call 911 immediately, or the Police non-emergency
number, 703-558-2222.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, between 25 and 40 years
old, approximately 5′7″ to 5′8″ tall and 170 lbs., with a medium build.
In some of the incidents he was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and
jeans. Anyone with any information about the suspect’s identity should
call Detective Jim Stone at 703-228-4245.
