Burglary Update from Arlington Police
October 29th, 2006 Posted in Police NoticesA week ago a burglary suspect was arrested and had confessed to several burglaries in the south side of the county and two in the First District (N. Stafford St. and N. Brandywine St). This subject was not believed to be the individual responsible for the other burglaries in North Arlington but since his arrest we did not have any more burglaries. During the daylight hours of October 25th a suspect burglarized a home in the 2200 block of N. Madison Street and stole jewelry.
So I wanted to put out the suspects description from my last update to keep everyone on the lookout for anyone in their neighborhood that may match the description. The previous suspect was described as a stocky build Hispanic looking male wearing black pants and a black long sleeve shirt that looked something like a uniform or scrubs. The suspect’s hair was black and was set in a corn row hair style that had a 2 inch ponytail. The suspect also had a white hair tie or headband on his head. When the resident fled the home the suspect yelled at her in what was perceived as a Hispanic accent.
The suspect might be knocking on the front door to the house to see if anyone is home before he breaks in. Please pass this information on to your community and continue to remain vigilant. As always, report suspicious persons to the police immediately and secure your valuables.
I want to thank those citizens who have already reported suspicious persons and activities so far. That information is helpful and has been passed along to the detectives investigating the burglaries. If you have any additional information that might aid in identifying the suspect or noticed something suspicious that may help identify the suspect, please contact Detective Roger Estes at 703-228-4180, email: Restes@arlingtonva.us
Thanks for your help.
