Free Trees

The Arlington County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources is offering 1,000 free trees to the community as part of the annual Neighborhood Day celebration on May 13th. Two types of trees will be offered: the Sweet Bay Magnolia (medium-sized flowering tree) and the Chestnut Oak (large shade tree.) The trees will range in size from 3 -5 feet and will be potted in one gallon containers with care and maintenance instructions provided.To place a tree order, please email Bridget Collins (bhartc@aol.com) no later than April 14th. Include your name, address, phone number, type and number of trees in your email order. You will be responsible for picking up your own trees at a designated location in Arlington. You will be contacted in early May to confirm your order and to provide pick-up date (May 11th or 12th), location and instructions.
