Helicopter Traffic Over Neighborhoods

For your information, here are a meeting notice and a link to a background document regarding the issue of helicopter traffic over neighborhoods.

1. announcement of two meetings on May 11 at which the public can provide comments regarding the helicopter system plan study and their concerns and experiences regarding helicopter traffic over residential areas, and
2. a 10-page Executive Summary of the helicopter plan study. Access on the CivFed site.

This is an excellent opportunity for neighborhood organizations to address the impact of helicopter noise on their residents and the expansion of commercial helicopter traffic and landing places. CONAANDA is a committee of the Metropolitan Council of Governments and is currently chaired by Rob Krupicka, Alexandria City Council Member.
